Fine Dining

Olive Beach - Gourmet a la elegancy.
Nicely tucked into a quite steet near Richmond Road, this one is a surprising discovery I'd say.

The Cuisine - Mediterranean
Service - Firstclass
Ambience - Romantic. I think they added a touch of Moroccan.
Price - A tad on the higher side, but that's ok (about 2.5k for 2)

Cocktails Apetizer
Mazenine entree in a papillote

The entire experience was so amazing that I was hung over it for a while. They totally blew us away. There was nothing I could complain of.
It's not the kind of place where they say they serve Thai and end up serving the same old chinese fried rice topped with some basil. This place takes it's cuisine quite seriously. I had food that I had never tasted before but only read of in food magazines. There was nothing predictable. Each dish that came to the table was totally new and had a story to it. The waiter really did a good job explaining us each and every thing that went into the dish. I never thought I'd eat something like pearly barley for the main course and vegetarian sushi made of wine-leaves and rice. Simply Amazing!

More often than not, when we enter such speciality restaurants, we find very less selection of vegetarian food, but this one had enough stuff, although I could ask for a bit more :)

So there...now that I have a strong recommendation for this restaurant, go ahead and splurge a bit and enjoy the flavourful culinary journey. Don't miss the kiwi margarita, manhattan and mezzanine !
