First I misplaced my husband's handset a few months back. Now I lost mine too.
Whats with me and mobile phones :(
Its a very old panasonic handset and whoever found/stole it wouldn't get anything out of it. Well it was supposed to be a super cool mobile during those days with a big screen and joystick and white light was not yet introduced in India. Its a tall slim beauty. My mom gifted it to dad 5 years back and he is quite senti about it. That's the reason why I've always been careful with it. And finally the thing hapenned that I always feared. Such a sad way to end the weekend.

i lost 4 handsets and broke a couple of them...so dont crib!!!
I think u needed a change...i mean 5yrs and the same handset...
check out the super-duper kool ones in the market now...ya got 2Mpixel cam-phones in the indian market now...with light pen and 8 way joysticks....and more than 65k color display....
I do respect the senti values though :((

brownstone - no i haven't used it for 5 years...you think it wud have lasted that long with me...knowing my reputation of losing stuff!
I took it from my dad a few months back after losing 3 handsets.
I am not gonna buy anymore fancy handsets now...gonna go for nokia 1100 :) [by the way i had that one too and lost it]
maverick - same case with me, i dont have any numbers of friends. Have to get onto collecting again.

I have bought expensive ones and damaged or lost them...
Standard ones dont depress ya much...

hmmm... well i remember seeing this phone sometime in Deeps hands ... well notta worry ... am sure u r dad understands and it will be okay.
I guess its like a ritual for all mobile phone users to lose atleast one phone !
